A membrane filter cartridge consists of four main components: outer cage (support frame), filter membrane (filtration layer), end caps (sealing), and sealing rings (gasket). All components use thermal welding without adhesives to prevent contamination.

Material compatibility:

  • Standard applications: Polypropylene (PP) cage and end caps
  • Corrosive chemicals: PVDF or PFA cage and end caps required
  • Chemical resistance: PP withstands general acids/alkalis but NOT strong organic solvents like acetone or chloroform

Membrane filter cartridges work by applying pressure to force liquid through a multi-layer membrane with gradient pore sizes (coarse to fine). Particles larger than the rated micron size are trapped in the membrane layers, while clean liquid passes through.

Working principle:

  1. Liquid enters under pressure (0.5-4 bar)
  2. Gradient membrane traps particles layer by layer
  3. Contaminants stay upstream, clean water exits downstream
  4. Multi-layer design extends filter life

Result: Up to 99.99% particle removal with absolute-rated filtration.
